Transpersonal Art Therapy

Transpersonal Art Therapy is a therapeutic modality that unites spirituality and psychology. Transpersonal translates to ‘Beyond the Personal’, acknowledging facets of the human psyche and experience that even science or psychology cannot express or understand. In order to explore beyond the mask, we use creative art processes which are the gateway into the subconscious. This therapeutic model is rooted in Shamanic philosophies, such as; the client is the gate keeper of their inner wisdom. And as such, our duty as a practitioner is to provide a sacred space and be a guide for you to unlock these inner wisdoms.

You will be guided into these processes sometimes through meditation, breath work or somatic body expression. The creative processes you will be given are for your own inner healing. These may be in the form of symbol work, rituals, mandalas, myth or creative story. There are no requirements, expectations or judgments in your creative skills. Together we will unpack what arises through discussion, at your own pace. Our intentions are to provide you with self care resources, support and self empowerment. Commitment to your own healing and growth by being present in your sessions is an achievement, in and of itself. Therefore, we welcome any internal insights and shifts however they are not necessary or expected.

“I have had the joy to have a Rebirthing Breathwork session facilitated by Asha during her time in India. And what a journey it was! I went through a strong emotional experience that allowed me to see and experience the source of a particular strong emotion and began to heal it.

Asha's soothing energy and voice is perfect to create a safe space for you to open up. I am grateful for that experience, it was inspirational! Thank you Asha."

Rebirthing Breathwork is a breathwork technique discovered by Leonard Orr,

that focuses on sustaining a conscious connected breath

to cultivate the true power of our life force energy.

Some of the many transformative qualities that may be experienced are:

  • rewiring any subconscious limiting or negative thought patterns and beliefs

  • freedom from any emotional or psychological trauma

  • somatic release and healing from a cellular level

  • reclaiming of ones identity, connection to self and self agency

  • healing any suppressed or unconscious birth trauma

  • integration of all energy bodies (ie; emotional, physical, mental and spiritual)

Through Rebirthing we are able to heal in a gentle and nurturing space. Your practitioner will guide you through a session addressing any particular ailments or concerns you may have. Transpersonal counselling will be applied after the session to assist in integration of the mind, body and spirit.
